What it does
Drift records what is in front of you every five seconds, works out the context without being told, and hands the day back as a timeline: where the hours went, when focus actually happened, how often you switched. Opening the hard thing and leaving ninety seconds later shows up as a pattern, and so does the long morning ramp. There is nothing to configure, tag or start.
It stays on your machine
Everything lives in a local database. Unknown contexts get classified once and cached; the daily read sends roll-up numbers, never the raw stream. Password managers and banking sites are handled by local rules, and their titles are never stored at all. Local-only mode turns the network off, and the iPhone companion is opt-in, with a data model that can't represent a URL or a window title.
